Jess & Luke’s Chic Italian-Inspired Black-Tie Celebration

We love when a couple comes to us with a strong vision—and Jess and Luke’s wedding was nothing short of spectacular. From the beginning, it was clear they wanted to honour tradition while embracing contemporary elegance, all wrapped up in the timeless flair of a black-tie celebration.
A Ceremony Rich in Heritage
The day began with a beautifully traditional ceremony at the stunning St Joseph’s Church in Subiaco. This venue holds so much architectural beauty on its own, and we opted for a minimal styling approach to let its marble altar and natural light do the talking. Subtle nods to their Italian heritage were woven through the ceremony, adding a layer of cultural richness that made the setting feel even more meaningful.
Reception Goals at St George’s College
The reception took place at St George’s College in Perth—a venue that feels straight out of Europe with its ivy-covered brickwork and historic grandeur. It set the perfect stage for the black-tie affair Jess and Luke had dreamed of. We designed a space that was both romantic and refined, using a colour palette of deep reds, classic neutrals, and luxurious textures like stone and marble.
Our Styling Approach
Working alongside some of our favourite creative partners, we brought the couple’s aesthetic to life with purpose and polish. There were so many hero feature of the evening, created in collaboration with Black Label Events, Brellico, and Honey Bunch Botanicals.
In true Italian spirit, guests were greeted with a cannoli cart from Fiorentia Patisserie, a detail that delighted and instantly transported everyone to a little slice of Sicily.
A Night to Remember
From a warm afternoon ceremony to a night of dancing and celebration, the entire day unfolded with effortless flow. Photographer Norman Yap captured every detail beautifully—from the grandeur of the setting to the elegance of the styling and atmosphere.
