Wedding Floral Trends for 2026/2027: What Can You Expect to See?

September 26, 2026 / by Sarah Smith / Leave a Comment

Florals are one of the most transformative elements of wedding styling. They can set the colour palette, create atmosphere, bring a venue to life and add personality to every part of the day.

For 2026 and 2027, Perth wedding styling is moving towards florals that feel more intentional, artistic and organic. Couples are embracing texture, movement, unexpected colour combinations and arrangements that feel beautifully natural rather than overly structured.

Here are some of the floral trends we’re expecting to see everywhere.

All-White & Monochromatic Florals

All-white florals are timeless, but for 2026/2027, they’re being styled in a much more modern way.

Rather than using one type of flower throughout, monochromatic arrangements combine different blooms, shapes and textures within the same colour palette. Think white roses alongside orchids, hydrangeas, delicate filler flowers and sculptural greenery.

The result is elegant, sophisticated and incredibly photographable.

For a contemporary Perth wedding, white florals can be paired with crisp linens, soft draping, candlelight and neutral styling for a luxurious, editorial feel.

Let the Greenery Do the Talking

One of the biggest shifts in floral styling is using greenery for texture rather than simply filling gaps between flowers.

Instead of having arrangements packed with blooms, foliage becomes a key design feature. Different shades, shapes and textures of greenery can create depth and movement without needing an abundance of flowers.

Think trailing foliage, delicate leaves, sculptural branches and soft, flowing greenery incorporated throughout bouquets, centrepieces and ceremony installations.

This approach is particularly beautiful for garden weddings and couples wanting a more organic aesthetic.

Asymmetrical Floral Arrangements

Perfectly balanced arrangements are making way for something much more artistic.

Asymmetrical florals create movement by allowing flowers and foliage to extend naturally in different directions. They can feel effortless, sculptural and slightly unexpected.

This style works beautifully for:

  • Ceremony arches
  • Bridal bouquets
  • Table arrangements
  • Welcome signs
  • Floral installations
  • Plinth arrangements

Asymmetry is also a great way to make a floral arrangement feel larger and more impactful without simply adding more flowers.

The Romantic Garden Look

The wild, romantic garden aesthetic continues to evolve.

Rather than perfectly uniform bouquets, couples are embracing arrangements that feel as though they have been gathered from an abundant garden. Loose stems, delicate flowers, trailing elements and varying heights create a relaxed yet sophisticated look.

This is perfect for couples who want their wedding styling to feel romantic, natural and slightly whimsical.

Imagine soft florals spilling over tables, meadow-inspired ceremony arrangements and bouquets with plenty of movement.

Neutral weddings will always have their place, but colour is making a stronger comeback.

  • Soft peach and burgundy
  • Blush and plum
  • Sage and ivory
  • Dusty pink and deep red
  • Lilac and warm neutrals
  • Burgundy, blush and soft peach

Unexpected Colour Combinations

We’re seeing more couples experiment with combinations such as:

The key is creating a considered colour story rather than simply adding lots of different colours.

The bouquet in this inspiration image is a beautiful example of this approach, combining soft peach, white, blush, lilac and deeper burgundy tones with airy stems and varied textures. The result feels romantic and artistic without looking overly coordinated.

Texture Over Quantity

More flowers don’t necessarily mean better styling.

For 2026/2027, we’re expecting to see couples focus more on texture, shape and movement rather than filling every space with flowers.

Combining delicate blooms with larger statement flowers, interesting foliage, trailing stems and structural elements can create a much more visually interesting arrangement.

This approach can also help create a luxurious look while keeping the overall styling considered and intentional.

Sculptural & Statement Florals

Florals are becoming part of the architecture of the wedding.

Large-scale arrangements, sculptural installations and dramatic floral moments can transform an otherwise simple space into something memorable.

Consider a statement floral installation behind the ceremony, an oversized arrangement framing the entrance or sculptural florals positioned around the reception space.

The goal isn’t necessarily to have flowers everywhere — it’s about creating a few moments that have real impact.
