Western Australia is renowned for its picturesque landscapes – so why not think about having your wedding down south?
Sarah and Holly have curated their list of favourite venues to use when planning down south, as well as some helpful planning points.
Old Broadwater Farm
Located just minutes from the Busselton CBD, Old Broadwater Farm is one of the South West’s iconic wedding venues.
This historic venue was said to have been established in the 1800s and been built from limestone found onsite and timbers milled by the owner’s family.
Old Broadwater Farm has beautiful grounds waiting to be utilised – offering many places on the grounds for amazing photos.
This location is a great choice that’s very convenient for guests. With countless options, there are multiple ceremony and reception locations exuding potential including an onsite marquee and stunning pavilion space. With wonderful caterers like Supper Road on board your guests will enjoy one of the best meals of their life!
Planning point: Work out your wedding plans so that you utilise the whole venue. Maybe pavilion for the ceremony, deck area for pre-dinner drinks and the marquee for the reception.
Credaro
Located in Yallingup on Caves Road just 10 minutes south of Dunsborough, Credaro‘s vineyard is a beautiful canvas ready to be curated into the idyllic wedding venue.
Perfect for a cocktail or seated event with views to die for. This place is a winery so the beverage list is amazing (their rose is a personal favourite), but the bonus is that you can bring in any caterer of your choice, as well as remaining suppliers so that you can really build the styling to make it personal and unique to your style.
Planning point: It can get a little windy here in the afternoons and cooler in the evening, so if you have a marquee it’s a nice idea to make sure the sides are on so that they can be closed if needed.
Tiller Farm
Tiller Farm is a stunning 50-acre farm located in Yallingup that offers scenic views and purpose-built spaces perfect for gathering family and friends on your special day.
This is a wonderful blank canvas wedding venue with a little extra. Dine inside their stunning space with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the view – or why not utilise the lawn space and dine under the stars. We love the ‘paddock to plate’ concept of their onsite catering team, and the feeling of this place is just beautiful and natural.
Planning point: Use suppliers that know the venue. Hire & Style is a frequent visitor to this space, and this makes the bump in all the easier – plus their furniture is fab.
